The Drill Sergeant punishes the rest of the platoon while you get to take a seat and watch as they do their press ups'.

In the British Army you could be called before the Provost Sergeant in charge of Regimental Discipline as well as the Regimental Sergeant Major (RSM) who will come down on you from a great height and who will make your life one long miserable existence.

The British Army -

"Above all, discipline: eternally and inevitably,
discipline. Discipline is the screw, the nail,
the cement, the glue, the nut, the bolt, the rivet
that holds everything tight. Discipline is the wire,
the connecting rod, the chain that co-ordinates.
Discipline is the oil that makes the machine run fast,
the oil that makes the parts run smooth, as well as
the oil that makes the metal bright. They know about
discipline here... the principle of discipline here is divinely
simple: you lay it on thick and fast, all the time."

You would probably have to do about 1 000 000 000 push ups.

Ive been there. All he/she can do is embarass you or make you work more. They cant hold food, hit or be abusive.

NO MATTER WHAT OTHERS MAY SAY TO SCARE YOU!

That is the worst thing you can do. Just try not to i no some of things drill Sergeants say can be funny.

not wise to do so, as we will probably reward you with a barrage of hard work and not completely humiliate you on the spot. lol

Little Leny
You won't wanna laugh. This is a 40 year old man who is really really really really really really mad. REALLY REALLY MAD. Do not laugh.

boreduninspired
Strenuous exercise accompanied by lots of yelling for a time period to be determined by your drill sergeant.

Let us know how that works out for ya, Mahalo

Times are a lot different now, but when I went through they would begin to call you everything they think of and you would get "smoked" until you pretty much puked or actually puked. We had a couple of those where we got smoke until everyone in the platoon puked up lunch. Good times.

you get told to shut up and if you cant stop they put you somewhere to calm down

Nothing. They are not allowed to do anything anymore. That is why our military is becoming weak. But back in the day, running a few hours in full gear, no dinner and shitter room detail all night and then a nice run at 4 am the next day might keep your mouth shut bra! But no worries, they will probably laugh with you.
