What has made America the greatest nation on earth....?

There could be many reasons but some could be:

Its belief in a free market; prior to this, most nations around the world planned + ran their economy at a government level. The US allowed their citizens to dictate their own business & go where the supply + demmand led them. Then after the fact the US government creates laws under its moral guidelines concerning the economy.

Another reason could be that ever great empire has been a manufacturing giant; Russia, Egypt, Persia, England, USA, now China. So the reason could simply be numbers; at the time 1900's the US one of the most populus nations, thus has the ability to out manufacture many nations; essential in a time of war but also to flood the market with their business probucts( the US did it after WW2 in europe/developed world. China does it now all over the world)

But for the US to be the most populus country at that time it has to attract immigrant, so one of the reason could be its ideals of freedom, liberties + individualism attracted so many immigrants, which allowed for manufacturing might coupled with a free market may have led to the US's enviable position today.

It isn't. There is no greatest nation, only nations who that influence the world a lot. Such as America, good but in most ways bad. Sorry, but it is true.

America became great due to an abundance of natural resources guarded only by savages, industrial capacity, cunning and luck.'

Though the Great European Powers were known for being ruthless, They did provide a lot of infrastructiure. One could argue that Switzerland and Scandanavia DID become great by being nice to everyone

Two things.
That the people are the ones who ultimately have the power.
That we have a will like to other, a special inner pride that lets us band together and sacrifice for the good of our countrymen and our nation. This was shown after Pearl Harbor, and 9/11. A peak of patriotism, dwindled by the media.

Capitalism. Freedom. Core Values. A good beginning, with founding fathers who really knew what they were talking about.

Also, the division of power has alot to do with it. Along with tons of checks and balances.

It's not perfect but it's alot better than what else is going on in the world.
