What have we accomplished while in iraq?

By invading Iraq, the United States military saved the Iraqi people from their shortages brought about by Saddam Hussein. After securing Iraq, America severely damaged the operational capability of Al-Queda. This prevented possible terrorist attacks in America and Europe. By the (for the most part) hospitality provided by the soldiers on the ground of Iraq, America strengthened its image and values in the minds' of wavering Iraqis. However, the invasion of Iraq also hurt America's image in the minds' of many Europeans and even some native Iraqis. Had Saddam Hussein actually been in possesion of nuclear weapons, America would have prevented a major international crisis situation. Of course, the CIA intelligence Bush was provided with was in-accurate, and the original basis for war with Iraq was actually nonexistent.

The time spent in Iraq, however, was mostly wasted throughout the years 2005-2007, and hurt America financially. The motive for the invasion of Iraq may have been solid (even without the nukes), but America's time spent on the ground through part of the war was not utilized properly.

We improved our medical life saving skills, improved vehicle armor, got a lot of people lots of combat experience. are learning a lot of information on PTSD, taught a lot of people to fly airplanes like electronic games.
Most of all we have made it possible for everyone disaffected with the US to become a much larger and better armed/trained groups of terrorists.

Helping the Iraqi people over there for a better life.

Trying to restore Iraq to a peaceful state.

in fact the quesiton should be what have we accomplished with the war in afghanistan...?...

Killed millions of Iraqi women and babies. Started roadside bombings. Started a Civil War. Brought suicide bombings to the country. Hired Cheney's company to rebuild the country. I think they were better off before Bush said "ooops, there were no weapons of mass destruction!"
