Bought one dinner last night. He's in between tours in Iraq.
I bought my brother a birthday card. He served as a Marine embassy guard overseas during the first Gulf War.
My dad's in the hospital at the moment, back on the East Coast. He landed on the beaches of Normandy during the first wave of D-Day (WW2 for those who don't recognize the terms).

For three years, I worked in a homeless shelter and helped nearly two dozens homeless vets find a place to live and stablize, got them into mental health and / or addictions treatment and got their lives turned around. |

I don't know of any personally, but I donate on a regular basis to the DISABLED AMERICAN VETS and PARALYZED VETS OF AMERICA.
I've been wearing an American Flag bracelet since the war started. Everyday when I see my bracelet, I say a silent prayer that all of our Girls and Boys come home safe to their families and to the Country where they belong. |

I have a birthday cake waiting for him to get home. After that, I'll tuck him in so that he can get up at o' dark thirty. Then each night, I pray and ask God to keep him safe and home with us. Even though we know what his job is, 3 times is quite enough of defying the odds. My "vet" is still in, at least for a couple more years. |

I love him and support him daily. The vet is my husband and has been on several tours. In fact he is deployed right now. The only thing he asks of me is to love him and pray for his safety until we can be together again. |

The last thing I done for a veteran, is trying to inform peoples, about tthe New World Order, because WW2 was forged. Like the conflict right now : |

try to make the world a place where there are no veterans.
(by this, I mean a world where people NEVER BECOME veterans, rather than one where existing veterans are eradicated) |

I patted my self on the back last night and had a beer by myself and thought of all of my fallen comrades and the ones who give so much for so little and ask nothing in return.
