What is MCT and how come infantry do not take it? (USMC)?

MCT stands for Marine Combat training it is a month of additional training for POGs or marines whos MOS isn't combat related. Infantry doesn't go to MCT because they go to ITB which is Initial Training Battalion which lasts three months and is more intense then MCT. |

Marine Combat Training, it's an abbreviated version of SOI for non-infantry Marines before they go to their MOS school. Infantry Marines go to the full length school for their MOS. |
