The Infantry is the nucleus of the Army. It is tough work day in and day out. Some say that the Infantry is more disciplined than other specialties within the Army. Being highly trained and motivated is necessary in accomplishing their mission of meeting, capturing, destroying and repelling enemy ground forces on the battlefield.

In garrison, your days are dedicated to training and maintaining equipment. And cleaning everything you can find.
In the field, you're usually cold and wet. So's the food. You live in a hole in the ground, and your life is long periods of boredom interrupted by brief moments of terror.
Best life in the world. Because the war isn't over until an infantryman plants the flag in the enemy's heart. |
