It represents Jesus. He died for our sins and the Marines were formed to commemorate that sacrifice and to priase him. In these modern times when they are thinking about letting queers in the military, we need a strong leader. This is why we need the spiritual guidance of the Prophet, General Peter Pace. Even if they repeal Dont Ask Dont Tell, a queer will never make it through our basic training. Make no mistake, there are no queers in the marines.
