What is the best branch of the military.(In opinion)?

The Marines theres a reason theyre the few and the proud.

Depends what you want. If you just want to play GI Joe, go into the Marines or the Army. If you want to learn a trade for when you get out, Navy or Air Force. If you want the nicest living conditions, Air Force.

Air Force. Various reasons....but mostly they are as family oriented as a branch of the military can get. Also it isnt ground combat usually it is more likely to be air which in my opinion is a little safer.

It depends on what you like. If you love the water, then the Coast Guard or the Navy. If you want to really be in the military, the Army or USMC. The USAF having better chow halls and better barracks used to be the rule, but I've seen a lot of Army barracks that look like apartments lately. Some people will say that the USAF takes care of their people better too. I say saving your buddy's life in combat is pretty much the ultimate 'taking care of people'.
Your best bet is to choose what you want to do, then decide which branch has the best chance of letting you do that job.

AIR FORCE

1. Training and experience in jobs you can use outside of the military.
(there's not much use for a grunt on the outside)

2. Living conditions are the best of any of the services.

3. Shorter deployments. (between 4-6 months depending on your job)

However, Navy would be my second choice because they are also good in all of these categories.

in my opinion, although limited to tactical rather than strategic operational capabilities compared to their airforce counterparts, the USMC has assault infantries and amphibious assault vessels that allow them to deploy anywhere in the world with the provision of air support, they also have the means and the manpower to maintain an occupation of whatever land they just liberated

The Military Police is the "Force of Choice!"

Imagine, when in garrison, you get to be a cop. However, when you go to the field or get deployed, you are trained to engage and destroy enemy special ops soldiers. MP's fight the "rear battle." You'll et lots of grief from the "grunts." However, they're just jealous because their 17 year old soldiers are trusted to carry live ammo on a daily basis....UN-SUPERVISED! (Sure the go to a range and fire, but MP's carry a loaded weapon on a daily basis as part of their job.)

You can specialize as a prison guard, small/petty crime investigator (MPI); or even part of the "Army FBI," (CID). You can go to specialized training like: Protective Service Training (body-guard school); SRT (Special Reaction Team); Hostage Negociations; Physical Security training. Additionally, MP's routinely get a number of slots to Ranger School, Airborne, Air Assault, Load Planning School. MP are also the ONLY branch of the Army that is allowed to call for artillery support in the Corps Rear Area.

The down-side, is that we are "politically acceptable" to deploy ALL OF THE TIME. Civilians hear that MP's are deploying to some bad country, they think," .....awwww, their sending the police to help secure [aforementioned hell-hole]" In reality, they are sending a platoon of 30 soldiers who are more armed than a company of 100 light infantry soldiers.

Yep, the're just jealous. MP are the FORCE of CHOICE!

It all depends on what your looking for. To some people the Air Force looks like the best. They have the best chow, best barracks, most like a 9-5 job and it's the safest of all the branches. To me that sounds like sh!t. I didn't join the military to have all the crap. I joined to be a grunt. Learn to hack it, not be pampered like a rear echelon mother fu**er. But to others, being a grunt sounds like a living hell. Whatever, don't be one then. If you want all your home comforts become an Airman. If you want to be tested everyday of your enlistment, join the Marine Corps.

It's all personal preference.

army or army guard/reservists. the army just because it is so big that have got there stuff together, for the most part.
