What is the best foreign army to join?

I only worked with the British Army and they seem pretty cool. But I'm not sure if they will allow an American Citizen to enlist in their military. I will tell you that if you like being a citizen then it would be in your best interest NOT to join a foreign military even if they are one of our allies. Joining a foreign military as an NCO or officer is grounds to surrender your US Citizenship. I don't know what your condition is that is stopping you from coming in the US military but depending on what it is you may be able to get a waiver. Some things (like asthma after the age of 13) disqualify you permantly but other medical conditions may allow waivers.

For Russian, Polish and most of UK army you have to be citizen or born citizen in order to join. If your decision is final, French Foreign Legion or Spanish (dont remember what unit) are the best option, because, at least, they are NATO members or associated members.

But, what Yggdrasil told you is very true, I would think a lot about it before considering what decision to take.

Joining the military of another country is considered as a renunciation of your US Citizenship.

Think long and hard before you do anything like what you are suggesting.

You should join blackwater.Largest Private army. And iits in the usa.

Obtain higher qualifications in the US and they will waive any condition you have to get you into the military.

There are army/military doctors that were commissioned with all types of disabilities that would disqualify an infantry enlistee.

So before you give up your US citizenship - try medical school, ha.

First things first, for the Russian and the Polish you must likely have to be citizens to join and if you do join you will be looked at as a fool. Go for the French Foreign Legion. All foreigners and it is an elite unit. But if you must join a conventional countries military, try canada. But since you are a foreigner, it will always look weird.

French Foreign Legion. Most won't take you because you pose a security risk. Militaries like for you to be from the country that they represent. You could be a foreign agent attempting to get information on them.

hi . Ive been in army in portugal . I have speciality in mines , tranmissions and artillary . Wen i finished the 8 months i wanted to go to the parachoters because i was toghegter in the same base . But they said no :( i was 3 cm lower then it was request . So .... I told them to ...... I won an honor and i would like to know if in the forogner army parachoters there is the same issue ?

@david goncalves: JOIN THE FRENCH FOREIGN LEGION THEY HAVE THE BEST PARACHUTERS REGIMENT ON THE GLOBE AND THEY ACCEPT ANY NATIONALITY , just get the Visa if you have to :)
