What is the best way to get out of my current afsc (job) in the air force?

I am not eligible for cross-training

The best way without cross training would be to get out. If you want to stay in then volunteer for a special duty assignment. Be an MTI, Instructor duty or something else until you can cross train. The manning numbers are always shifting so what is not possible today might be possible a few years from now.

Apply for a special duty....if you're not up to x-train, then that's really the only thing you can do. Talking to your functional should give you a good idea of what your chances of being able to get out your current AFSC are. If you're in something critically manned, it is difficult to get released.
