Your previous diving experience means zero to the Navy.
You still have to meet the same qualifications as everyone else
And go to the exact same Dive schools as everyone else |

Jeeper is correct. Your previous experience will mean nothing. In fact, they'd prefer you had no experience. They view it as bad habits you'll need to learn to get past. |

The first poster is wrong, it IS an enlisted rating but you can't just join as a diver. You must first enlist as an entry-level rating and then express interest in this during boot or AIT. Chances are slim of getting selected (there are only about 900 in the Navy). You have to qualify number one then get selected to send to school. ND is listed under the Navy's Special Operations Unit. Along with SWCC, SEAL, EOD. |
