I have nothing but respect for all those who serve in our Armed Forces. But the US Marines have a special place in my heart because my brother was a US Marine. Although he died in Iraq, I feel that every Marine carries a piece of his spirit. |

Navy Seals cause they cover both Sea, Air and Land. Ultimate fighting force followed by the Marines then Army Ranger units.
If talking WWII then I would put the Mighty 8th Air Force right up as they had one of the highest casualty rates |

The Marines by far. Their training is better than that of any other armed force. |

I think they all are respectable, in that they provide security to our nation. Air force is most like civilian life, then navy, then army, then the marines. |

The Navy SEALs. They go through the toughest training program known to man. |

I'd say it's a 50/50 between the NAVY SEALS and the ARMY's GREEN BERET's.
On another note, DAMN GURL - youz a hottie! :X |

Army Rangers - they lead the way! |

i say the navy because they project our military might around the world which is a requirement to be a super power. an aircraft carrier is a powerful weapon and gives us powerful political persuasiveness just by being in the area. i like all our branches though, if you get a chance read some of Colonel David H. Hackworth's (a warriors warrior) books, you will not be disappointed. |

I'd love to say Air Force, since I'm a veteran of that branch myself, but I've always been really impressed by Marines, Navy SEALs, Army Rangers and Green Berets. They just seem like the toughest of the tough. But every component of the military is important and we need all of them. |

I think this is more of an opinion question. My opinion would be the Army. My Grandfather, Father, and brother have all served or are all still serving in the Army. So we are an Army family. I guess that would make my bias. Not that the other branches of the military are not as important, they just serve other areas. The Marines, come in first, then the Army, at least that is the way we were always told as kids. But we were always taught to be respectful of all who served their country. God Bless them all!!!! |

The British Army is the best trained army in the World and the S.A.S are the best of that Army. Gotta be them.

I don't believe that any of them really deserve commending, considering each and every one of them is corrupted to their core, but out of the ones selected, I would say the Marines. They have the best training, and hardest some say, and act upon keeping the greatest number of their members alive, not blindly following orders. Hope it helped. |

"Some people spend an entire lifetime wondering
if they've made a difference. The Marines don't
have that problem." President Ronald Reagan UNITED STATES MARINES hands down Semper Fi |

If you are asking which force is the most versatile when dealing with a myriad of situations then I would answer the U.S. Marines. But to answer your question in full we need to look at what type of missions those services do. The Air Force will do an excelent job with regard to air superiority but has a little trouble with close air support.
The navy does a fantastic job with supporting military forces in the litorals of the world but then what happens if you need to get some naval gunfire 100 miles inland?
The Army is big, very big and sometimes being a large military force slows you down. They go in for the long haul and can really slug it out when the time comes.
But who does the president rely on when he needs to go into Afganistan in a hurry? Or what military force goes in to help Liberia or Haiti when they have trouble? Check your history books becuase it happens often that the U.S. Marines are the first to fight.
As for the SAS and the British Army? Look to your seafaring brethren the Royal Marines. Emulate them and maybe you could compare to the U.S. Marines. |
