Australia has been our staunchest ally. The most recent leader of Australia is no different, John Howard, was recently re-elected to another term. Yes, I do believe that the ppl from down under (although not well advertised) are our best friends... even better than the Brits. |

I think Canada. Most people do not think of them, but I have never heard of Canada being against America. Then again, I only know that they have great hockey, good pancakes, and the women are very friendly. Other then that I am not even sure if they care what we do as long as we don't do it to them. |

actually there are two. 1 Mexico because if they don't support our wars we beef up border security because we're bored. 2 Canada because we have all our missile warning systems there. |

There isn't one. We've fought the Brits in the Revolutionary War and in the War of 1812, and they supported the Confederacy against the United States in the Civil War. France has supported the United States in most of our wars, but we fought the French in the 1812 era when we wanted to remain neutral. ANd of course the French do not support the US in Iraq today. |

Up until Operation Iraqi Freedom, France was the USA's most consistant ally. France was the USA's first ally during the Revolutionary War. During the War of 1812, France was for us because we were drawing troops and supplies from the war against Napolean. We were allied with France during WW1 and WW2, although France would ally with willing to bail them out of those wars. France and USA had a lot of common enemies (The British in 1800's, the Germans in WW1 and WW2, and the USSR during the Cold War) which was the main reason of their support. Which is why the USA was disappointed with France's lack of support in Iraq. |

Except for the American Revolution and the War of 1812 (second American Revolution) England has supported the USA in every war. |

Good question. I'm guessing here... can't be France, can't be England, can't be Germany, can't be Spain...Hawaii? |

What is the point of this question? Are you asking this with the assumption that the US is always justified in its wars (recent ones in particular)? |

France? I think that they've been on the US's side in all of the US's wars except for the current one in Iraq |

None. Britain has been on the other (losing...) side of two of our wars. Other than that, the Brits have been with us side-by-side, as we have been with them. |

Australia. F*** we are proud of that fact... not. Supported with man power in the war zone. Israel and Panama didn't. |
