What is the probability of a nuclear attack on Britain from the east?

What a lot of people on here dont seem able to grasp is that even countries with nuclear weapons in the east do not have the delivery systems to target the UK.Some terrorist could set off a nuclear device but few countries have the capability to wage a nuclear war .

Not very likely. Nuclear deterrance is a popular defense mechanism. Think about it, why would you even need a military if you had nukes? The US is more politically correct, so if a war does ensue, we use ground forces. However, governments with bad economies, such as North Korea, Russia, and Iran, spend a lot of money on defense spending to protect themselves. This in turn causes a big thorn in the side of these government's economies. If a country holds a nuclear weapon, a relatively minor expense to a country's defense budget, it lets the other country know it can devastate them. Think about it, would the US invade Iran or North Korea if they had nukes? Absolutely not, because we know that they would launch it on the US, killing and destroying millions. Britain would be less likely because of the surrounding countries and potential for nuclear fallout.

Yes we are a target but America would be first so we'd get some warning. Also they would retaliate and prob wipe out the country that nuked them so we'd prob be ok.

Britain would be an easier target than the US (geographical distance; weaker defence system). If the nightmare comes true, it would come from Russia. That's why Britain must not allow the US to place missiles in any European country. The intended purpose to counter any Iran/DPRK missile attack on America is hogwash. Why should Britain or Europe put themselves in the line of fire to protect America?

Very good question, but I don't think that it would happen because the US and the UK are allies. It would happen because the ones sending the bombs are ignorant uninformed pieces of s**t who have no idea about anything other than opression and don't want to learn how to be civilized human beings.

Writing as I am from my deep under ground bunker in my back yard somewhere in London, I am ready for the Ruskies to attack.

We - all nations - are vulnerable to nuclear attack - from east' west, north, and south.
Everybody knows who is capable and most likely to attack who and why.
Political figures who need to know already know.
We all live in a nuclear submarine !
Nuclear attacks are so destructive that hiding under a desk is no defense at all.
One thing is certain - even if we survive a nuclear attack - we will die of after effects within a couple of weeks.
Knowing this we would be lucky to die at the first blast.
Ask a survival systems officer = what happens, what will you do about a definitive nuclear bombing.
