What is the "military regularisation of situation" according to the french foreign legion?

Now, it basicly means serve for 3 years with a clean record.

Everyone who enlist in the Legion, is given a new name.

After 3 years, you can apply to have your real name back and use it instead.

Ir also means you can have a non legion bank account, own a car and take leave outside of France.
