I used to give $1 and that was it. I just started giving $1 if I don't have much and $2 for a cart full (if they take it too my car)
Most of the time I give the bagger $1 and take out my own cart.
Alot of people say I am cheap. Some people have told me they give $1 a bag but that is just ridiculous.
I am sick of the bad attitudes of alot of baggers. |

Usually I gave $3 for a few bags. If is was a lot I would give $5.
Naturally that also depended on the service. I found the friendliest commissary was on Ft Hood, TX |

Usually you aren't going to get the best baggers in the world. But my standard is $1 for every $50 I spend. But I always help them load so I know it is getting done well. |

I can tell you from experience; they really do get paid only tips...I normally tip $3-5. I only go once every two weeks. |

I'll give one dollar if they do a crappy job, two if they do a good job and are nice... |

Good Question.
I give $3 every time if I have a few or a lot of bags I figure it evens out that way. My husband will only give them $2 if they do a crappy job. I stick with $3 regardless.
Who is giving all the thumbs down and why? Is it because they think it's cheap or too much or because they are morons? |

We usually give around $5-$6 dollars. I think it works out to about 50 cents a bag.
Hope this helps. |

if I only have a couple bags where I can carry them to the car, then only $1-2. However if they follow me to the car with a full load, I'll give them $3-4. If it's cold and there is snow, $5 if they come to the car with me. |

I give 50 cents a bag. They bag faster then the register can ring up the food. They carry it to your car. Nothing is ever broken and the bread is never crushed. I only go to the commissary once every two months so my bill is over $250, I think for all the work they do 50 cents might be cheep. |

When I was a bagger the tips were really up to the customer, and how proficient you were in doing your job. Most of my tips were between $2.00- $10.00 in the 1970s |

I tip based on the number of bags and if they bag the bread and eggs separately so they don't get crushed. anywhere from $2-4 a trip. |
