The U.S. Army hands down no other branch can seize and hold territory period, The Air Force and Navy are support and have strategic weapons however strategic weaponry does not win wars. Marine Corp simply is not large nor self sustaining enough to carry on long term combat activity and must rely on the Navy.
Air Force, Navy and Marines make movies, the Army makes History! And screw the Navy Seals Any Marine unit can wipe out a Squeal team, The U.S. Army Green Beret are the A** kick-ingest Special Operations and was around long before Hollywood discovered the Navel Squeals!
To cowboytom, forget about hollywood portrayals of squeals without the hi tech support Marines would wipe them out on a battlefield. Now if the Seals were drawn fom the Corp. I would have more respect for their hollywood antics. |

In all the previous answers, there was only one correct one and that's the US Navy. With our fleet of nuclear ballistic missile submarines (SSBN), the planet could be completely destroyed if they were to launch all their missiles. Much more damage than the Air Force's land based missiles. Now forget about nuclear weapons and concentrate on conventional weapons and the US Navy still has the edge. No other branch of the military has as many types or numbers of non-nuclear missiles as the US Navy.
To the person that thinks a Marine can take a Navy SEAL, I have a question... Are you that stupid? |
