What is your attutude towards women in the army?

but personally the army is my idea of hell!

Woman are just as capable as men, some more confident and some stronger in mind. It doesn't just take strength.

I think your supposed reasons are actually excuses. Women can do what is required of a solider in the military services. If you need convincing, then just look at the Israeli military.

Women should have to serve in the same capacity as men.

I think women should be allowed in the army, if they so desire. However, as you brought up they do get pregnant, so um... don't make them fight if they're pregnant. Still, i think it should obviously be their choice. If the draft is brought back, they shouldn't be able to draft women.

At the end of the day it's a job hun..

As with everything you can not come up with a broad brush for everything. I have not spent a lot of time working with Female Soldiers but from the time I have spent I have divided them in to two groups. The first group is beyond useless, they are in the army to get the rank of "MRS", they are the ones who get pregnant while deployed, and complain the most on every little detail. The other group of Female Soldiers I have worked with are among the best Soldiers in the Army. They volunteer for everything, keep their shot groups extra tight, know their MOS inside and out, and work harder than almost anybody else in the unit to prove themselves. So again it does not depend on gender, but on each individual if they want to be a Soldier, if a female has the heart, has the mindset, and soldiers on till the mission is complete regardless of physical differences they are an asset to their unit, and the Army. If they do not have those things, then along with male Soldiers who lack those qualities they need to get out.

I think so equal rights BUT I also think they should have the same pt standard as the men do they should not be aloud to do less of the pt than the men

I think woman who can perform their duties in the military should have the right to be in the army, or anywhere else for that matter.

I think that women should be allowed in the army, but should not be recruited.

In other words, I believe it to be the man's job to risk his life for the country but I would not restrict the woman from doing so.

If women can be in Police,in Security duty,as pilots etc,why ban them in Army alone?Women are serving in Army as doctors,nurses,engineers etc.Now pregnancy can be avoided or controlled.Modern light weight arms do not require much physical strength.You select only courageous and self confident women in to Army.

my opinion about woman in army? well, they're tough... and for me they're cool and totally amazing... i want to become a soldier when i was a kid (i'm a girl) because my dad is a soldier and he is my idol... hahaha... that's because i'm a daddy's girl... but think people in the army is really cool...

yes they should be allowed in the army. not all women get pregnant. and there are other jobs in the military that dont require alot of physical strength.

Yes they should 100% have the same opportunities as men. Just because we are different doesn't mean we are weaker.

What`s wrong with women in the armed forces ? I`m all for it. Women fought hard to get equal rights besides if women are on or near the front line why can`t they maintain the vehicles etc as opposed to fighting. I`m all for women being on a level with the men 1 for all, all for 1.

Yes they should be allowed in the army. Just because you cannot complete do not mean others cannot. Sure men are stronger than women, and they don't get pregnant, but so what. I was a fire fighter in a mans world. They were bigger and stronger than I was, but no one cut me any slack. I had to do things a little differently, but I held my own. As long as I could save my male coworkers and could hold my own, they didn't mind.

It is true that women (usually) aren't as physically inclined as men, but I know for a fact (my stepfather is in the army) that women play a HUGE role in the military. There is no branch of the military that is 100% (or even 25%, for that matter) guns and gory glory like you see in movies and video games. Most of the manpower of the military is behind the front lines in front of computers, desks, or other soldiers. Women are actually more suited for some of these jobs than men. Behind the front lines, women are just as capable as men.

On the front lines, women are also necessary. I take an interest in CNN, BBC, FOX, etc. articles, which describe how women are saving and rejuvenating the lives of civilians (by teaching them to work, how to take care of wounded, etc.), and are sometimes doing even better than men. Most Iraqi women don't want to work with men (Islam teaches that they must always be subservient), so only female soldiers are allowed to work with them.

In Iraq, it doesn't matter if you are a man or a woman. Serving under the military is more than just blowing things up and driving humvees in the desert.

A woman can play just as large of a role as a man.

For the most part, they assume a different role. They can contribute much to the military and its nice to have women around too.
As for combat roles, Other nations allow women to engage in combat if they can meet the physical requirements.

I think its fine if they want to do it and can handle the stress

I think that women in the army are awesome! I mean if that's what they want to do let them do it. I personally would'nt want to. I agree with you though saying that we are not as strong as men physically or emotionally and we do get pregnant. But you know those feminist are out there and they want us to be just as equal as men and blah, blah, blah. I dont think that we should have to fight in the army it's too much for us. Our bodies were not built for that anyway.

i agree ... no women in the army or military at all for that matter.
while were at it lets get rid of the bill of rights and the constitution.
and while were doing that lets totally segregate the entire country.
oh yeah and while were doing that lets bring back slavery and religous persicution.
since in for a penny in for a pound everyone walk around with pistols and shoot whoever the heck you feel like shooting with no consequences at all.

yes women should be in the army but they just shouldn't be in the infantyr field which they aren't anyway as long as they can do their job

In germany, where i did my national service in the navy, women can join in every position, but they have to be lrss fit.... they can run slower,have to do less sit-ups..... and i don't think thats right.... there are no small battlefields for women and bullets don't fly slower when you shoot at women. If omen join they should have to achieve the same as men, otherwise they are a thereat to the men serving on their side. Another problem is when there are for example 70 men and 3 women training together... the men sleep in rooms of 6 or 8 and 35 people share 6 showers, the women have ore space and 6 showers for 3. this is bad for team spirit, as the men feel the women get better treatment.
If there are co. 50% women, like in the israeli army, and they do the same as men, women in the army are ok, otherwise they are a problem

Woman in the military is fine, it is a volunteer situation.There are some woman that are just as strong as men sometimes even stronger.It is there right to enlist.Though some jobs are not open to a woman, there are careers which they can apply for.
