Eilson - if you like the outdoors, Alaska is for you. Heard the governor has some hot daughters.
Minot - long cold winters, in the middle of nowhere.
Grand Forks - heard about it but not much to it.
Never been to any of them just heard about em. With Minot having the worst reputation. Good luck. |

Don't know about the first one.
Minot and Grand Forks are not bad duty stations. Minot is a little isolated, but Grand Forks is a pretty big town. |

In all seriousness, you'll hear people talk bad about just about every base. But it's all what you make of it. There are good things about every base, and bad things.
Minot is a huge base, and the weather is is frigid, but the local community is great. If you like being in a big city, you're a bit out of luck--Minneapolis is the closest real "big" city around. There is some awesome deer hunting and some huge bodied bucks, though. Grand Forks is very much the same--they're not that far apart. Minot has the B-52's, and the missile wing, which is a plus if you like things that make stuff blow up. Grand Forks has tankers, which is a lot less stress than stuff that carries bombs.
Eielson is next to a town called--North Pole--what more needs to be said?
Seriously, it's the only fighter base you listed--they do a lot of exercises up there, and they play an important role in air defense for North America. F-16s are cool jets--and the entire Viper community is full of awesome people, from the drivers to the crew dogs to the loads to the intel folks. Of course, Eielson is pretty damn remote, but if you don't mind that it's supposedly a fun place to be. |

Eielson- I've heard nothing but great things about.
Minot- Haven't heard many good things about that base.
Grand Forks- Haven't heard anything on. |

The only one I have heard of is Grand Forks, and from what I have heard..it's horrible. I heard it's in the middle of nowhere, cold, and there is nothing to ever do. But, that is hear say to me.
