I am doing a research paper about this topic. Any information will help. I need specific skills and how they can make a valuable employee. Also leadership is an important skill learned in the military and I want my main focus on that.

As you progress through rank, you are taught:
1. public speaking / communication skills
2. business writing techniques
3. how to manage people
4. how to manage a budget
5. how to work as a team
6. how to adapt to different cultures and peoples
7. a good work ethic
8. to take care of your health... be fit and ready to work
9. to be flexible and adapt to change
10. And finally, many career fields have civilian counterparts which gives you a leg-up over the competition. |

One very important skill you learn is self discipline how you deal with other people and organise your life.
Other skills can be taught and learned by specialising in various arms with in the military.
Signals using radios, and other commuications equipment, catering, logistics, military policeman. |
