Fear itself, is an emotion that most humans have a hard time dealing with, the uncertainty of a situation, the not knowing, there are many reasons why one would be afraid, but when it comes down to it, if your land was invaded by a force whose soul purpose was to destroy your very way of life, you would fight, its an instinct, called survival, during ww2, the Russians didn't have enough weapons or ammo for every soldier, so they had to pick up the rifle or ammo of the guy that just got killed in front of them, and if they didn't, they would be shot from behind by their own people, I hope this helped your question

What makes a person afraid of the dark..........some are and some arent...........but i think Military Training takes some of the fear away..........some are built to fight, others will run and hide inside a HUMVEE while other soldiers fight.........kind of a hard question to answer

Sometimes a person is afraid of war because they're not sure it's a "just war". Yes, bullets, being wounded, bleeding out are all good reasons to be afraid, especially since no one knows what happens after you die. But sometimes the reasons are more complex than just fear of pain or death.

I don't know..I was in the marine corps during Vietnam..My daughter is in Iraq. She's a truck driver and has to go out on missions..she has been shot at and ieds are a problem..she has seen death every day women and children..it's a part of life for our soldiers..she's afraid as anyone would be..but she isn't whining about it and she plans to reenlist

The unpredictable...they have heard of the horrible things about war and this causes anxiety that it's going to happen to them.
