You are trying to compare apples to oranges. The Marines are best at just plain old being tough, Army is best at their form of combat USAF is best at air war, coast guard is best at keeping our shores safe and Navy is best at naval warfare. You can't say any one is better than the other. They are all best.

depends on who you ask. you'll never hear a marine say any other service branch is better than his. Same is true for other branches, only somewhat less so.

Best for you; or, best for me? Each has their assignments or specialties which are rewarding based upon a variety of reasonings to each individual. Served in the Army myself; but, from my reflection and experience, the Air Force has the greatest potential in training for usable professions after one leaves the military.

If you mean BEST as in who kicks the most @ss, the Marines are the best fighting force the USA has to offer. Army might kick @ss, but you know what they say, Marines do it better! :)

The Marine Corps is by far the best!! The History of the Corps is riding on the shoulders of every man or woman that proudly wear the Eagle, Globe and Anchor. It doesn't matter when one served in the Corps all that matters is that you did and are welcomed to the largest Fraternity in the world. From Tuns Tavern to Beleau Woods, from Iwo Jima to the frozen Chosin, from KheSanh to Falluju, the Marines were there. God bless the United States and God bless the U.S. Marine Corps!!

Army Airborne is above the rest. No comparison. But whenever we were around an Air force base we prefered there clubs. The Air Force has the best conditions. Except for the Air Commandos and the forward air controllers the Air Force is the only branch where the officers do the fighting. Maybe that's why such good conditions. You have got to treat your pilots good.

You can ask this question to anyone, and they are going to be bias, because of what they were in or what their family members were in. There is no 'best', we all contribute something to defend our country and keep us free and safe. It really depends on what you want to get into, where locations are, etc etc etc. You need to look into it and see what is best for you, because what is best for someone else, won't be what is best for you.

you know the answer's gonna be different depending on who you ask right? lol. but if you want my opinion: United States Navy/Marine Corps. i refuse to separate them and choose one branch. i love them both.

the marine corps is one of the only branches that still uses the whole "in your face" training regularly still. the marines i know like to mess around a lot. overall, they're ordinary 20 year olds. i love to have fun, joke around, etc. but when they put their blues on, it's a whole new story. just the way they carry themselves, you know that their life revolves around "Semper Fi". speaking of their uniform, they have what is arguablly the best dress blues of all the branches! lol. the way they handle themselves in the battle field is also just breathtaking. i've heard of obsurd storys from my boyfriend and his marine buddies about rescues and how far they will go to have each other's backs. i never believe them... until they introduce me to the guy that lost a leg in that story. they take the phrase "die for each other" to a completely new level.

then you have your navy corpsmen. if you didn't know, the marine corps doesn't have their own medics, so they use navy corpsmen as their medics. the marines will give them hell, joke around with them, make fun of them, etc. but when a marine's life is on the line, the corpsmen will walk through the gates of hell to save him. a marine once said that corpsmen are "long haired, loud mouth, disrespectful S.O.B.s that will walk through the gates of hell to save a wounded marine". a bit of brotherly love right there.

anywho, yah. depending on who you ask, there will always be a bit of branch rivalry going on. in the end, it's one team, one fight for one cause.
