What should i do??????

My older brother is amost 19. He graduated and is still at home. He has no job, money, girl friend, and all he does is play warcraft. He just told me he wants to go exercise with me (cause im a health freak) because hes thinking about sneaking behind my dads back and join the military. (im in usa) He really hasnt done anything with his life and knows it. But i really dont know what to think or do. I want him to do what makes him happy and proud of himself. But in another way i dont want him to get hurt or worse. so what you think????

i say let him do it. im doing exactly the same thing because i am not really satisfied with the direction my life is going right now. im in college right now studying architecture, but honestly, i cant see myself doing this for the rest of my life. which is why i decided to enlist in the ari force.

it will be good for him. they will train him in skills he could use in civilian life and also pay for his school if he ever decided to go back. and of course, he would be in much better shape and overall health and will be very well disciplined. dont worry about him getting hurt, because he can get hurt anywhere at anytime. its something he can be proud of in his life, especially if he has never really applied himself in life before. and also his family could be proud of him as well.

its up to him, you cant change his mind if he chooses to. but what you can do is make sure he is fully informed of what he is doing so he will be able to better make his decision. make sure he knows exactly what hes getting himself into. thats all you can do.

Now and days you have four choices.. College, Service, minimum wage, or be poor.. Do not concentrate to hard on his welfare because it might alter your journey. Talk to him. Get information together. There is financial assistance is he chooses to go to college. Guide him and be open about your opinions.. Take care and keep going..

let him see there are other things besides the military, which he prob. only wants to join b/c he enjoys playing WoW, which is totally different than any real-life scenario.

maybe while spending time with you, u can have him realize what your life is like. and how the world is nothing like his video game.
