What type of proof is needed to prove adultery of a military serviceman?

it is under the UCMJ. Basicly you need t show that a spouse was in the company of another person other then thier spouse from sun set to sun rise the next day. This is good enough fo state law. UCMJ on the other hand is going to require a great deal more, and more then likely will be investigated by a PIO a primary investigative Officer, this can be any one from the rank of E-6, to O-6.
Currenty a PIO is going to be very limited in thier ability to conduct an interview with the accused and any witmesses.
You'll be hard pressed t get charges to stick in a time of war. Honestly if the person is of a valuable rate/MOS they're not going to persue it agressivly.
Your better off having the spouse of the accused lodge a complaint to the service members CO.
All in all you're not going to get any where but have a great deal of attention focused on you. Be very careful the interviewer is going to want to know why you are lodging a complaint, how you know, and you're name will be on the statement of charges......

emails, text messages... call the MP's on them when the 2 are together... they will write a report and his or her Co will be notified...

Who cares? Handle your own personal business. Most Commands do not enforce that article of the UCMJ unless it involves fraternization anway.

As far as any chain of command...pretty much hear say.......in most civilian courts you have to have proof...pictures....statements....etc. But your CO can act on here say.......sad but true. I live in a majority military town. Beaufort, SC......3 bases.

i say leave the military alone there out there risking there lives 4 u every day and tats all u can do is try 2 prove tat one of them cheated on there wife/husband wow ur a discrase 2 the american(ihope u r american cuz if u not im gonna feel rly rly dumb) country think about it and unless its ur wife/husband tats cheatin on u or its ur best friend or brother/sister of the person tat is bing cheated on then u should stay out of it ne way

photographic or video evidence of the actual act. Nothing less will suffice, not emails, not letters, nothing.

Additionally, it will not be prosecuted under UCMJ unless it involves someone from the same chain of command or otherwise negatively impacts good order and discipline.

oddly enough.. the spouses word is enough. There was a couple in my battalion, she turned him in saying he cheated on her, he got demoted all the way back to e1, but he's still in. if you have pictures/videos/etc, they're getting dishonorable discharge. So it helps to have those kinds of things. If not... tell EO.

Yes, I understand that there are more severe consequences within the military than the civilian world, when it comes to adultery... BUT - why bother.

yeah who knows..it can change depending on their supervisor..do you have pictures cause sometimes even then its not good enough

Same as for a non-military serviceman. What does the fact that he is in the military have to do with it?

you can go in and talk to them about any reason that you feel he is cheating...you can take the proof that you have even if just phone records or emails. they will listen to you even if the cheating is just instinct like he has gone out and stayed out at night or something like that. whatever proof you have you can go in with and talk to them.
