He's an unappreciative man. If it weren't for Bush and the over 4,000 soldiers who died in Iraq that man would have never had the freedom to even throw that shoe at Bush. Had he thrown that shoe at Saddam, he would've had his head chopped off. That was also an insult to the United States and our President. Bush is still our President, no matter how many of you hate him, and a foreign man trying to hit him with a shoe should have angered all of us. |

OLD news, lucky to have not been shot by the Secret Service, The Iraqis will prob be harsh on him. |

Misinformed and taking out his frustration on the wrong target (should have been the insurgents instead). If he did that to Saddam he would be dead.
BTW ezydriver, Bush can't pardon him. He is being tried by the Iraqis, not the US. |

Total disrespect. I don't agree with the things President Bush has done, but he is an elected official holding the highest office in the United States and should at least be respected for that. This guy degraded the Office of the President. |

He is a symbol of freedom. When you can throw a shoe at the most powerful person in the world and get away with it, you know that the civilization you belong to can't be all that bad.
I bet he is the most popular man in Iraq right now. If he is clever, he can parlay his fame into a small fortune. |

Fair play to him. GWB has done a lot worse. |

Didn't bother me . Rather a shoe then a shoe bomb. The guy made an ancient statement of extreme dissatisfaction .Could have been worse. |

I thought it was funny but he should go screw himself for trying to disgrace the President like that. He's DEFINITELY not the best president but he is still The President. I wonder what they did to him in their "spare time" if you know what I mean. |

He is stupid. If the security there had over reacted or misread the situation people could have been killed or injured. |

To throw a shoes at a political figure who cannot reply takes very little courage to confront him face to face is another thing , i have very little time for cowards with an eye on future elections . |

Honestly, i think its a major improvement that people are throwing shoes now. It beats throwing bombs and truth be told all Bush seemed to be concerned with was the fact it was a size 10 shoe. |

I believe that this is the moment where we should just pack it all up and let the iraqis to themselves, they are pretty ungrateful people. I have been there three times and have met many that are thankful that we are there, but its time we leave them and let them fend for themselves, they will be calling us again in the near future i would guess anyway. |

Understand his socks also stank, seems they were cast offs from that Iranian fellow, little Tommy something. You know the little flower who spreads love and goodness amongst his fellow terrorists. Both need better hygiene practices. |

I think he was very upset that Bush sent troops in and destroyed his country killing men woman and children going against the UN treaty.
I bet he was thinking that maybe Bush could have found a better way then war.
I am surprised that he only threw a shoe since they tore Bush's statue down in the same circle where they tore down Saddam's. |

not keen on violence but I think he made his point.
Think about what all that Bush has been responsible for! |

I think he was brave, and it was just freedom of expression.
If George Bush pardoned him, that would send out a positive message to the arab world.
I admire his bravery and agree with what he did. |

I think he threw those shoes for the world. |
