I did pretty well for an old geezer.

32 to 36 year old category. I'm a 34 year old male.

Push ups in 2 minutes / 114 push ups... 139 points
Sit ups in 2 minutes / 102 sit ups... 126 points
2 mile run / 11:58... 113 points

378 extended score

I prepared a lot for this test because I have a younger brother who is 24 that said I couldn't pass it at 34 when I joined the military; and he was laughing at me... I also use to smoke cigarettes so maybe that was the reason he though I would not do well . My brother scored an overall 261 score. I beat him by over 100 points. He's not laughing anymore.

A NCO scored it. I can actually beat that score now. I've improved my sit-ups. I use to do alot of body building so this wasn't difficult for me... the hard part was really the run. I use to run 5k and 10k races as a kid then later turned to bodybuilding. So the added muscle made it tougher to run but helped in the push ups and sit ups.

never did better than 1330 or so on the 2 mile run...IMO the pt test is outdated though. i like what fire departments do for their physical fitness tests where its all job related. should be the same for the army, sinec your not going to be running in shorts and a t shirt in iraq.
my old platoon had a lenghty conversation about this a while back, decided that a good pt test would be: 100m sprint, dips, pull ups, and a 4 mile ruck would better judge yoru physical condition.

That is very good. Was your PT test graded by an NCO? A civilian may not know the standards of a proper push up, or sit up. I'm not doubting you. At that age.... a score close to that is very good!

I will be out of the Army in 2 days. After 8 years I'm done! I've never scored below a 300 (even after Ranger school). My highest score was a 366.
