What will happen when the American troops leave Iraq is that Iraqis will take more responsibility and police their own country. Having no American troops in Iraq reminds all Iraqis, government and other agencies to work hard to establish peace and stability. The idea of withdrawing Iraq is so Iraq becomes a self-sufficient country and not rely on US aid and military for its security. Iraq is a sovereign country and that must be respected. No more Americans troops should die for Iraqi civil matters, but should be an Iraqi police and army dying for Iraqi affairs. It is their country and it should be Iraqis that should police their country.

You don't have to have a troops on the ground to maintain relations with a country. The US can still be active in Iraq without having any troops in Iraq. Combat troops are for combat, and the phase of the war today is not a combat, it is policing and securing. Something that Iraqis themselves can accomplish.

Seems to me Iraq has always been at war with one country or another. That seems to be all they know. Some want to have one religion so they can control everyone to their will. I expect civil war there for a long time. IF the world lasts that long.

American Troops will never leave Iraq. They will remain there until the end of time. 500 years after America ceases to exist, American troops will still be in Iraq.

let me look in my crystal ball who knows to be honest we will always have some kind of military presents over their, so don't belive the tv cause they act like we are all gonna get on a big plane and leave at once, heack we still have troops in south america and we never had a war their those were " conflicts" aka a war was never declared , now just cause our troops are not their doesnt descied if iraq is a peaceful place to live thats up to the citizens are troops will always be peace keepers their but what is peaceful people will always have disagreements with in the country just like every where does how extreem people are in disagreements and what they do is totaly up to them.......................... so noone will really know

I don't think we are going to pull out as planned I think obama will change his mind and extend the pull out date like he has already done. hopefully when we do pull out Iraq will be a way more secure place then it is now.

Iraq will still have some trouble from terrorists bt hopefully less and less as time goes on. People love to be free. Hopefully they will keep the gift we gave them.
