The best gift I can think of is your time.
As a family, hopefully you can just have some quality time to just relax and enjoy each other's company. Perhaps a fun trip later ...just to the zoo or movies...anything that you would all enjoy doing.

Just your safe return will be enough. My husband is on his way out there in May and he gets back in December and I know the only thing me and the kids will want is him home safe. I hope you have a great homecoming, well done!x |

Bring some sand from the dessert - bring a wall hanging or some local art - bring pictures of you in Iraq. Expended ammo cases are fun for boys - emppty shell casings, that sort of thing. Or a desert sword. A "real" desert canteen. |
