What would be the end result of a modern-day Pearl Harbor event?

with political correctness to guide us in all national security matters. if a foreign power were to totally destroy a Naval base in let's say "San Diego" for example. would we declare war on the perpetrators of the attack? (full retaliation) or go crying to the United Nations as our fearless leader did during the North Korean missile launch fiasco?

I would suspect that the political correctness BS would fly out the window and our military would retaliate with full force regardless of the spineless leaders we have seated in today's administration.

There unfortunately would be some complaints from the nut gallery however the best interest of our country would fall into the hands of our no nonsense military leaders. The outcries of our America citizens and patriots would be heard.

Our military is only trained to win.

It is a little strange today with this administration in the drivers seat and with all of the unrest in the world that they find it better to supporting all of the pork projects, and handouts to large failing businesses than that of supporting our military.

Cut backs on military spending in a time of crisis and supporting welfare and pork projects at the expense of our nations freedom and security?

We win wars and keep the peace only when we are strong enough. Making moves that do not help to keep this edge is a diagram for disaster.

In the event that some nation were well-equipped enough to pull that off I doubt they'd stop there, forcing us into rettaliation.
