More chaos and killing since undoubtedly the US troops are preventing some inter-Iraqi bloodshed. But this will happen whenever the troops are withdrawn. I agree with Murtha who says that the sooner we let them fight it out the better. American lives will be saved and the civil war in Iraq will begin and end sooner. |

a major disaster of a civil war.. Tribal jealousies are abounding right now.. The different cultural ideals.. Kurds, Shiites, and Sunni, and the small percentage of Christian Iraqis, are all fighting to get their piece of the pie and who will be the eventual leaders of the government. It will take some major waring and settling down for a few years to come before that country will ever stabilize (if it will at all) sad but true.. |

OK, I'll answer because it looks like your getting allot of bull at the moment. There are three groups in Iraq The Sunnis, The Shiite's and the Kurds. they all hate each other. The country was held together because with a dictatorship, A high level of control was held over the people, so for the most part there was peace. except the poor Kurds who where gassed by Saddam. now there is a week government made up of the various factions. if we pull out the factions will have no more reason to work together. the country would destabilize and there would be anarchy in the streets it would be a blood bath think the civil war with the north, south, and then just for fun will add the mid west. who's to say what would happen after that. It's a mess we made, It's up to us to fix it |

It would be a bloodbath over there far worse than it already is. Iran, Syria, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia would jump in and carve that country like a Christmas Goose. We would look like total idiots worse than we already do, and yes the priceof oil would rise to unbelievable prices. Radical countries like Syria, Iran, and North Korea would celebrate and tote it around that we are a paper tiger and move more towards violence resulting in faster arming and possibly WWIII. |

The Iraqi army that the US government has set up there will fall without the backing of the more experienced US army, and oppenents will break through their power easily, reaching the new government and leading to corruption all over again. |

The leader of Iran would be nominated for a Nobel Peace prize, but, he would have to share it with John Murtha. That is how sick things would be. The terror would spill over to Jordan, Saudi Arabia and the entire middle eastern countries. Israel would be destroyed, and then the US would be asked to go back into a more severe situation to clean up someone elses mess again because the UN would stand by and do nothing as usual. |

the liberals wouldve succeeded at destroying the legacy of a president to guise a power grab at the expense of the people of iraq and the future economic promise of this country with a return to tax and spend. |

It's be like living in a major war over here in the States. All those freaks would be after us to kill us. |

they would say: they destroyed us and left, they opened the door for terrorist and didn't shut it down. instead of saying: they liberated us. |

Absolute, total, freakin' chaos, far worse than it is now, GW should've thought about all that before he went busting in there with guns blazing. |

Lots of dead people. The truth is...we have some kind of responsibility to those people after we've destroyed their infrastructure, their government, military, police force, health care system, and pretty much everything else. The sectarian violence is a major setback in the development of the country. And hopefully, things will change after President Bush leaves office. But the reality of this situation is that leaving the country without any plan for how the country is going to move forward is morally irresponsible. We're talking about real people, everyday people trying to make a living, raising kids, etc. Not every Iraqi is a terrorist and they shouldn't be treated as such. Leaving now, would essentially be handing over the country to this whackjobs who will rule with the power of fear, and what future is there for those people then? |

The civil war and implosion of Iraq would simply happen sooner rather than later. |

Iran would invade Iraq with conventional forces instead of just insurgents. |

while we are in iraq it is a war zone every1 is fighting each other, if we pull our troops out it will still be the same except our troops wont be gettin killed! no matter what we do (stay or go) it will still be the same fighting. people in iraq are muppets they have no clue about civilisation, they can not live with each other, in there minds the only way to live with the person next door is to kill them. so get our troops out its not our war! |

Iran and Syria would split the country putting it back in control of religious extremists who would remove the rights of all women and most men. |

The iraqis wil be left to their own devices which is agood thing. The most desirable outcome of this move however will be the immediate reduction in the number of body bags flying across the atlantic to the USA. |

.. i like the way people kid themselves into thinking the poor iraqis would get hurt if we leave .. while we are slaughtering them by the thousands ... |

The result would be our troops would be back home, and the war would be over. They would be here to help defend our borders against terrorist. |
