from what i have gathered, most say F-15 out perform 16s in air combat, the 16 is said to be good for air support, the problem with the 15 is that it has a higher price tag, as the 16 is less expsensive, either way both are great jets, from what i understand, U.S. pilots prefer the 15 due to the fact that it flys smoother... |

Well if you go to the Naval Academy you won't be flying either. The Navy flies F/A-18 Hornets. The Air Force flies the F-15, F-16, and F-22. As far as which is better, they do different roles. However, the F-15 can take out a whole squadron of F-16's and the F-15 has never once been shot down in combat. Not many planes in the world can claim that. |
