anyone have any experiences. things to look forward to? benefits? basically im looking for hte good th bad and the ugly bc i know each branch has there "ishhh" about them.
i ask bc im considering joing

It is anything but easy balancing military commitments with civilian employment. I love it, but it isnt the easiest route to take. NG troops leave more behind when they deploy then AD troops with their employers being-1 for the entire time they are activated. It is a great thing to be a part of and a great way to make some cool memories and meet new people. |

Well the N.G.is good if you plan to keep your civilian job. What you have to do is go on basic training for X amount of mouths. Once completed you have a meeting 2 days a mouth, then you will have a 2 week training camp.You now have the chance of been called up for active duty for a year or more. Pay is good, but don't just do it for the money. Do it for your Country!!! |

Talk to a recruiter and ask to visit a unit during drill. They will be more than happy to accommodate. |
