Why do all liberals think we have lost this war? How many soldiers that have served in Iraq have you personally talked to?

The media paints a picture of doom and gloom in reference to the war in Iraq, because doom and gloom sells a heckuva lot more than a rosy picture does.

But, to answer your question, I don't feel we should EVER accept a defeatist attitude. We may be viewed as bullies and cowboys and such, but the world, in general, knows that we will do what we say we will do. If we "abandon this war and get out", those that hate us will be emboldened and work that much harder to destroy OUR way of life. The islamic extremists do not want peaceful cohabitation between Muslims and Christians. They view ALL non-Muslims as infidels and believe they must be wiped off of the face of the earth.

No, absolutely not. The resulting blood bath in the Middle East would be on on our hands and would certainly spill over into Europe. Such a show of weakness would only serve to enbolden the muslims, inspiring them to redouble their efforts.

If we abandon Iraq and get out, the muslims will pursue us, there will be a war you couldn't even image...

I don't think we should ever "abandon" them. I've been told by many that if we don't help out over there that the terrorists will come here..and I truly believe that. We could start reducing troops soon though - make ourselves more of a supportive, behind the scenes group - and help the Iraq people take back control of their country.

We should just bomb them all and get on with life. No abandoning just do what we have to to win. Screw all this political crap. We are America and need to do what is best for America, we can't help everyone, especially since they are their own enemy.â™¥

The Americans should not yet abandon Iraq. Do you know why?
Because, Iraq was now a battlefield in America's War On terror. If they pull out, the extremist and terrorists will take over Iraq, use this country as their training ground for their continuous war against to the west, and therefore lauch a series of attack in the countries in Europe, Asia AND MOST ESPECIALLY , THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. Do you want to BE ATTACKED AGAIN? , their next attacks can be worse than the September 11 Attacks. Besides the terrorist threat, many Iraqi People will suffer more if the US pull out. US troop presence provides protection to them, if they pull out, violence will be worse, and far more people will DIE.

US may pull out it's military presence if and only if their mission in pacifying Iraq succeeds. We must not be selfish, we must think of other people, especially the Iraqis, help them in their crisis for their lives to be spared. Terrorist and extremists are the ones who kill many people every day in Iraq. WE must protest that this "hooligans" must get out of Iraq, not the American troops.

We should begin funding other national forces to replace American military units, pay for it and leave.
If there is not going to be a poitical situation, why are we continuing operations. This mission is accomplishing nothing.
