Its not ending tomorrow I can tell you that, and it will probably last for some even past 2008. It all depends on how well we can get the Iraqi forces trained, and the sectarian violence down. |

Until the mission is complete. Don't believe anyone when they give you a timetable. There is no such thing. To provide one is to provide the enemy a date to launch an all offensive attack. |

Completely out, not in the next few decades. Having the Iraqi people take over their own security in the next few years. |

As soon as the defeatist Left in our government has enough power to effect a surrender. |

this is a easy question to answer relatively, at the current rate of training, public support, and iraqi support, we will be ready to leave completely relatively by 2009 |

The last part of your question says it all. The ball is in their court now.
As we have sadly learned in the past, if the people in a country are not willing to stand up and fight for their own rights and freedom, all of the humanitarian and military aid we can muster will be in vane.
The first election was a very positive indicator - the present war between the different factions within the country is a very negative indicator.
It seems at times that the people's devotion to their own sects far outweigh any patriotism they have for their country as a whole, and that's sad. |

World War II was how many years ago and we still have troops in Germany. NATO is still in Bosnia and Kosovo. So heck, no one can really say. |

when the job is done as a previous commenter said but as long as the Democrats don't defund the war effort we will win and not have it end up like Vietnam |

When we finish the job I pray. Otherwise thousands of Iraqi people will be slaughtered and terrorists will be bred in Iraq to attack us here. |

Well...There is no way to be able to tell when we'll be out of this, but the only thing we can do is support. with support we can go a long way. and hopefully with the support we give we can get through this as fast as possible. |

Immediately, before scores of other young men get slaughtered by those human-bombs. |
