Well this whole thing is really an extension of WWII. Believe it or not it's all related. And WWII was an extensious of WWI. And on back thru history until you get back to Cane killing Able. This will all end when the world ends.

Iraq has nothing of an organised Military any more, and the type of attack that could happen (guerilla or terrorist strikes) can still happen if you're occupying

America needed to retalliate to send a message (Gtfo my towers!) - but that was a long time ago

Most of you sound just like the news media. Please do the research about what is really going on. Talk to some of the troops who have come back. Surly you know a few brave people in your life or know someone who does. The war will end when humans can accept each others differences, in the mean time we must protect the innocent people from theses vicious Dictators and help them get back on their feet. I am so PROUD to be an AMERICAN, I just hope we don't run out of hero's.

Me personally? I think it's great that you're educated in the ways of politics and what's going on with our military. But seriously? You're 15 years old and should be enjoying your life instead of worrying about being drafted in a war with Iran. You're over thinking this way too much. As far as your heart condition? Generally speaking, people with heart conditions aren't allowed in the military per military regulations.

It's too risky. Especially during basic training. Word of advice for you? Stop stressing and relax! Enjoy being 15 because before you know it, you'll be 20! ( ^ _ ^ ) Good luck to you.

i want this war to be over as well. my future husband is fighting in iraq and every day i don't hear from him i fear the worst. you may not get drafted, but not because of your heart murmor but because the war is going to end. december 12th 2012 the world as we know it is going to end, the myans and the incas and all the ancient civilizations said the world was to end.

The conflicts in the middle east have been going on for thousands of years with no end in site. The US just happens to be involved lately. With your condition the military won't let you enlist so don't worry about it. Right now there is no draft but the Democrat Party wants to bring it back but you should be exempt.

In my mind the war ended they just need to ralley the troops and get staged to leave back out of the iraqy stage leaving them to their own accord leaving a watch patrol off shore for bout six months to allow for the iraqy gov the chance to call for strikes on break out of unruly terrorist nests bound to break out once we have bounced. We should be out by next year august. doing police work o pop the out of country
breaker out insurgents that will probably start bombing the place all over country of iraq after we left.
You got nothing to worry about it would take you another 11 years before you are even old enough to go over and you would have to train for almost 2 years after that by then iraq should be running a strong government of democracy by then.

To be a member of the arm forces, you must follow and pass all the steps, such as administration and background check, written test (they call it Asvab), physical test, training etc.

Check about your health problem at your local recruitment office.

As for a draft against Iran, I don't think it would be necessary. I don't think the Americans would be stupid enough to occupy a country the size of Iran.

They'd just let the Israelis use Iraqi bases, plus send a few carrier groups into the Gulf and launch cruise missiles.

The Iranians have a large military, but it can't do anything more than bloody our noses.

You wont get drafted. You would even get past MEPS. (Military entrance procesing) Bush did what he had to do. You get attacked you dont sit back a few months or week till you find out wth happened. Those planes were an act of war.

The war will end when this country makes once of two choices:

The war will end when we realize that a native population will never be subjected by a foreign ruler. That our method of keeping order cannot succeed, and that any occupation requires a totalitarian rule to maintain control. That the only way we will see this as a gain is to exploit Iraq for its resources until there is nothing left. What use is the right to vote in Iraq when there is no lights to see your ballot?

OR

We accept our failure. We accept the loss of half a trillion dollar, our choice to trade away our value for human life, and that we let so many people suffer for the gain of so few. That never again will our nation be able to put forth our opinion on international matters of human rights without being seen as hypocritical. At this point, we can leave Iraq.

Dude your 15 years old and im 16 years old. Everyone is sick of war, you have to be patient. War doesnt happen quickly and its over its a delicate process of time and effiency. I was in 6th grade when we went to war and was in 4th grade when the 2 towers were blown up before my eyes. You are not the only one suffering, I know this because Ive been on this BLOODY torterous planet for 16 even years.
