Never sadly enough. Unless you count a civil war as winning. but then the losing side was also french. look at this site.

The French resistance fighters of WWII were legendary for their bravery. That's pretty significant. |

France was on the winning side of World War II. But you may also wish to remember that the 13 colonies would not have won independence without the French blockading British reinforcements, and Napoleon was one of history's greatest military strategists. |

France won with the Allied troops during the World Wars but it never won again in Lebanon, Vietnam and in other wars of independence of their colonies. |

The Cheese eating surrender monkeys were doing quite a good job of smacking Europe around. Napoleon was almost the best. Thing is he met some bloke called the Duke of Wellington and got smacked back. Since then its all been down hill. Sure they've won a world cup and Renault won the Constructors championship last year but that's about it. Historically you see they do good and get big headed, fail to grasp innovation and loose. The Maginot line versus Blitzkrieg and the column versus the thin red line for example.
When saved and guided by the British they don't do to bad and they've been very clever with the whole EU thing. The one where the British pays for all their farmers to get drunk and buy new cars. In fact i think the Germans and the French are working together invading through the back door ie Brussels and Maastricht.
Anyway us Roast Beefs shall fight em on the beach's and bring the Spitfire and Sharpe out of retirement and copy their chefs. |

Hey dude, we won the Algerian war, at least on the military field (but sadly our government decided to withdraw and to give independance to Algeria in 1962). And that was actually the last war for France.
America lost the Vietnam war and is currently losing the war in Iraq, so I think you'd better shut up. |

If it wasn't for Chuck Martel's victory at Tours against the Moors, you'd be praying to Allah right about now. That's the last significant french victory, except for maybe bottling up the Brits at Yorktown with their navy, thus helping the colonials. |

WWI and WWII.In the first,France had the greatest army in the field and in the second,if France was not a member of the alliance Hitler's fortress Europe would never have been penetrated. |

Many battles In WW1 - which they always celebrete as a big victory. They had 3 times more dead than in WW2 as the result of fierce fighiting with germans.
They got help by british and us, but they fought bravely in evry battle |

France can't fight and win outside of the country. Too much wine, women and song. Why do you think they're so eager to go to Lebanon? Their UNIFIL role is just an excuse to go Arab-whoring in Lebanon. |
