When was the last time, you heard anything nice about President Bush, on the "not liberal' television?

People try to tell me that television is not, 'liberal ran'...but every day, day after day, I hear nothing but evil about Mr. Bush, and the war, not one good thing that we are doing, all except that we are getting killed...doesn't anyone know that during World War II, ten THOUSAND men a day were dying, and something like 3000 a day in Nam?...this has been the best fought war in the history of this country, yet nothing about our troops, or the Men that are in charge of them..Liberals, why is this?
Additional Details
that would be ten thousand men a DAY...

There are plenty of nice things that can be said about President Bush. The fact that he's willing to stand by his convictions and what he believes is right, what he believes will defend the country and save American lives, even at the cost of his political reputation--that's more than can be said for almost any other politician to date, including any Democrat you can name. In contrast, the Democrats' heroes (especially the ones running for office in '08) are pandering to the masses and stirring them up, playing the game of "down with war, down with Bush"; I would be surprised if they actually have any real convictions, much less would be willing to sacrifice their political careers to stand by what they believe. As a veteran of this Iraq war AND as someone who has met Bush, this childish, virulent name-calling and hate-mongering the left is displaying is absolutely appalling, and disgusting. Their actions speak louder than their words; they claim to support the troops, but are willing to negate everything the troops have worked towards and sacrificed for, just to attain their own selfish political goals and petty aspirations. They're willing to sacrifice potential thousands, if not millions, of Iraqi lives just so they can win votes... and their supporters have put on blinders to keep them from seeing reality around them. They feel more comfortable being told things that fit well with what they want to believe, and for most of them it's little more than a petty "revenge" against a president they didn't vote for, nothing more. Your comments and comparisons about this war and other wars in our history is correct, by the way... although I doubt it'll win over any of the foaming - at - the - mouth types. They're more comfortable putting the most negative spin on this as they can, even if it's as far from the actual truth of the matter as you can get. Funny how they ignore most of us vets who tell them they're full of sh**... if they listen to vets at all, they handpick the one or two who agree with them out of the many who disagree with them and make it out to seem like "all troops are against the war"... it's rubbish, and is blatantly pathetic.

Obviously the military has done an exceptional job in Iraq. It's the after part that the President has failed miserably at. Wasn't there supposed to be a new democratic government, an Iraqi army and police force, electricity, running water, and oh yeah, wasn't there oil supposed to pay for it all?

Ive never heard anything nice about him.

We are spending 16 BILLION dollars a month on the war.

You can not make a judgement by comparing this to past wars.

news all support the troops, they really do. you see that on cnn when they spend a whole segment on one individual soldier and his story. fox news does this too, same as msnbc. i'm sorry you don't hear what you like to hear. the war is not going well. sure, people do die in wars, that's acceptable. but their death must be close to equal value to the progress. many people died in wwII, but with every fallen man, an inch of ground was gained, more people were liberated. but with vietnam and iraq, with every american death, almost no progress was made to justify the sacrifice. i wish things are different, i got friends over there too, and i have friends that have died. i just wish the ends will justify the means.

BAGHDAD — "Iraqi leaders insisted they were making military and political progress, defending their efforts after the Bush administration gave the Baghdad government a spotty report card on a series of benchmarks aimed at bringing stability to the war-torn nation."

This is from a news article on FoxNews.com RIGHT NOW. you can read the whole thing @ foxnews.com

and by the way, fox and o'rielly, Hannity, etc defend Bush DAILY, so what "liberal" media are you referring to?

i think most television and movie stars and producers, directors, etc are libral. the closest thing to non-libral television is Fox, but even they have their moments.

Maybe because we had a cohesive reason for fighting other wars, whereas this one seems to have no end. I see plenty of filler stories about individual soldiers from my area. I agree we ought to have some perspective, and not care as much about the 1 death per day in Iraq. I don't think there are a lot of nice things to say to a man who pardoned Libby. Also, why are you just asking liberals?

The answer is quite simple: Bush has done nothing good. The only thing he will ever do that will put a check in the "Good Job" column is leave office.

Bush has been nothing but an embarrassment (for the record, I am a Republican)

Because he is the president , does not make him presidential. If you stand in the forest, that does not make you a tree either.

bigwhoop2001
The more they can hammer Bush the more likely they will con people into voting for a dem in 08'. That's their plan. They really don't care about the war or our troops but they know its a divisive issue and will sway moderates. They will do anything to get Hillary I mean a dem elected..... LOL

michelob86
Is that your simple logic? Not as many died in this conflict? That makes it OK? Great comfort to those that lost loved ones.

Oh, you did realize the actual casualty (injury & death) rate per capita of military over in Iraq is higher than any previous war? Of course you did.

As for the good news.....Well, get your flack jacket on, get on a military transport, go there, and let us know what the good news is.

Be sure your will is up-to-date though.
