When will President Bush start listening to the people and send home our troops?
|
The people have spoken! Is'nt it time to send home our troops! We are loosing to many servicemen and women. How many families are being affected by this useless war.

How Quickly the american people are to forget 9/11. Not even a decade yet and you people forget why we are over there. It's to prevent another 9/11. Or would you prefer that again? Bush knows what he's doing and it's because we're over there that we are safe right now. If you don't like it then go to another country. But at least stand up for yours and not against it |

Probably when the people, Congress, press, etc. make their decisions based on the same top secret information that he does instead of playing "Monday morning quarterback". Let's face it, nobody knows the ramifications of pulling out except his cabinet.
The micro-managers' opinions are worthless. |

from every survey and poll I've seen the American people want to win this "useless war".the problem is that some have no patience.i suppose it's this "instant gratification" that many have.
i have no idea how many is too many to loose in the attempt to accomplish a mission.
consider the number lost on d-day or at Antietam. |

Probably never. He seems pretty set in his ways. Of course I am one of the people who you seem to ignore. I want us to stay until Iraq is more stable. The number of casualties is just now reaching the numbers many thought we would incur in the initial invasion. Actually the number of casualties is not that high compared to other wars.
Now don't flame me as one who WANTS casualties. I mourn every death and disability we suffer. But unlike you, I cherish the freedom these brave men/women are buying for the rest of us. |

When will you start listening to the troops and start supporting what they are doing? |

President Bush can not just start sending people home; yes some people want this to happen, but what about the rest of us who want the war to be WON! All the lives that have been lost will be in vain, why can't you see what is really going on, we as a country are at war, not just President Bush, the men and women of the military are doing there JOBS, that they have chosen to do. why can't you just support them, pray for all of us as the LAND OF THE FREE and know that if Pres. Bush had not taken the action he did only GODS knows were we would be today as a nation, 9/11 really did happen, we really did see our lives change forever, right here on our on soil, What price would you pay to stay free? Yes some people have spoken, but hear me now! I to have spoken, I want to stay free, for my kids and grandchildren, free to come and go as I want and yes free to be able to read your question and write this answer. We all have made our life around being free, our service men and women are also free to fright for their freedoms, as well as yours and mine. All this talk about President Bush can only hurt our service men and women. I can only hope that my freedom will not pay the price your willing to pay so that a few of our good men and women can come home. Be realistic, they will not BE ABLE to come home in just a day or two. When they start pulling out, the rest that will still be there will be at a higher risk then ever. NO, let them do there jobs, a job they have trained for years and some have given their lives for, I am so PROUD of our military, when you see them on TV, and yes that’s all we see of this war is TV, you can see on their faces they too are very PROUD to be free and from the USA. |

And what people would that be? Those polls that are done on a website? I'd really like to know because a couple of marches done by a few people because they feel super human doesn't mean jack. You can view the President whichever way you want, you have that right. Go to another country and say that about their president/king/whoever and see what happens.
I am a military brat, I am also a military sister, a military girlfriend, and a friend. What about you? Have you served? Has your family been serving? Have you been to war? Or do you just state what you think because you just do?
The only way I want us to "pull out" is when the servicemembers say it's damn well and good. Not a bunch of civilians that haven't seen it or lived it. Just my two cents worth. |

I'm afraid protesting the war to the President is falling on deaf ears at this point. It seems we have to wait out his term. Sad. |

George Bush is so stupid he can't string a sentence together and what he says makes no sense to an intelligent person. When he's in a cabinet meeting, behind closed doors, and someone makes a suggestion or comment he disagrees with, he'll just sit there and look up at the ceiling or roll his eyes. Do you think he's going to listen to the people?
I don't know how many families are being affected by this war but I can tell you that mine has been profoundly affected. In Feb. 2006 my nephew was blown over a wall in Iraq and it splintered every bone in both his feet. He was kicked out of the military--as physically unable to serve. In July 2006, my brother died from exposure to bombs, petrochemicals, and "unknown chemicals" in Iraq. I have a son-in-law just northeast of Baghdad, as I write this, and terrorists are shooting through his compound. Recently his vehicle was hit by an IED. Not one member of George Bush's family has gone through one day of what my family has gone through ever since the wars started. This war was planned long before 9-11 in order to get control of the oil supply in Iraq. Remember that the elder George Bush tried it in 1991 and he couldn't get control of the oil then either. Saddam Hussein set the oil wells on fire to keep him from getting it. The war was NEVER about weapons of mass destruction. If you think I am
highly "steamed" at George Bush you are absolutely right. Let it be known that I DIDN'T VOTE FOR THAT _______. (You fill in the blank). |
