i join the army since july 2008 i did my BCT at Fort Leonard Wood i was there until october and then i did my AIT at Fort Blissand i was there until febuary. Now im station in fort Hood since febuary and i still havent recive nothing...will i receive something? my mos is 14s

First off read your contract did you get an enlistment bonus?
If you are entitled to one collect your paper work. Orders awarding your MOS, copies of your contract etc and go talk to your S-1. If S-1 can't help you ask to go see finance. |

If you have not already done so, you need to turn in a copy of your DD 4/1, DD 4/2, Annexes A&B (That is what describes your Bonus entitlement and amount), from your initial contract to your Battalion S-1 for processing through finance. You may also (Depending on the S-1) have to provide a copy of your Graduation certificate and MOS orders. You should have turned in these documents when you originally inprocessed the reception center at FT Hood. If you have already done so you will need to submit a pay inquiry to see where the payment is. If not once these documents are turned in, it will take from 45-60 days for DFAS to pay the first $10,000 minus taxes. You will receive the remaining portions of the enlistment bonus on the anniversary of your graduation from AIT each year of your enlistment until paid complete. If you have any questions contact your unit's S-1 or if you have misplaced your documents try to retrieve them off your OMPF or see your Career Counselor. |

If an enlistment bonus was part of your contract, you should receive half of it about 30-45 days after signing into your permanent duty station. If you haven't gotten it yet, talk to your unit PAC clerk. You should have had to turn in paperwork when you first got there to initiate the payment. |
