Where are the Gitmo prisoners going to go?

They will more than likely get brought to our maximum security prisons and tried under international law. Who knows, though?

Just my humle opinion, but I'd ship them to the White House. The President wanted them out. I think he should have to deal with them.

It doesn't seem prudent for anybody with a law degree to just release prisoners because he doesn't know how many are guilty of wanting to die to kill Americans -- the pepople and the Constitution he is sworn to protect and defend..

I'm willing to wait and see... to let him prove himself. But this is not what I'd call an auspicious beginning. I'm concerned that this might be what we have to look forward to the next four years.

I fully expect we will reopen Leavenworth. Since the opening of the new prison near Fort Leavenworth the old disciplinary barracks are available.

The Gitmo prisoners will be sent to the White House in Washington DC. They will share the Lincoln bedroom. They will face Mecca and pray 5 times a day. They will inform the President on how to run the United States and make important decisions facing our nation.
Because Gitmo is no place for terrorists, it is only fair they be moved into the American population. This is the impression I get from our President.

Probably some place like the Supermax Federal prison in Florence, Colorado. Either that or some Army base with lots of land like Fort Knox.

John Murtha (D - Pennsylvania) said it was OK to bring those prisoners to Pennsylvania. I wonder how the citizens of PA feel about that? Once again Murtha's mouth gets him in trouble.

That's something that's being worked out now. They will probably go to various prisons in the US. There is the problem that people don't want those who might be terrorists living near them, even in maximum security prisons. A representative in Pennsylvania has said he would take prisoners if the camp is closed. Some of them will be released to their home countries if they have been cleared and if the countries will take them back.

Noriega is in the maximum security prison in Marion Illinois. There's always room for one more there. But many will be released to their home countries or granted political asylum in other countries.

The US is trying to extradite them to some remote country. A week or so ago i think the Australian rejected them, so i spose theyre trying out other countries and such.

Some remote place in the caucasian would be good :D

Or ordinary maximum security prisons. Theyve probably had enough torture as it is.
