Where did Hitler get all his money from?

Despite his mania Hitler knew how to use other people to make whatever he wanted or needed. He put in positions of power people who knew how to make money and make the country make money. The people of Germany were glad to see that thier economy was improving unfortunately it didnt last long.
Basically he raped the German country and any other countries he "took" during the war and used the money and useable items for his own needs for the war.

Yalmar Schacht (not sure of spelling) of the Reichsbank procured a series of complex and sophisticated loans to finance re-armament. Then there was all of the gold and treasure etc stolen by the Nazis from the countries they overran. An economy built on slave labour, extermination camps that paid for themselves. They may have been evil but they were ingenious when it comes to economics.

Also, beginning in the early 1930s Hitler received assistance from a good number of multi-national firms such as Royal Dutch Shell. Hitler's personal wealth came from sales of Mein Kampf, which for several years outsold even the Bible in Germany; almost everyone bought his book and it made him a millionaire.

After Hitler's armies overran European countries there was much looting of national treasuries and particularly, valuable works of art, which were stolen from museums everywhere and brought back to Germany.

the German economy was slowly growing when Hitler took power, and a lot of what made him so popular in Germany was things done by his predecessors, he just arrested them and took credit for their accomplishments.

When he started coming to power he got the german citizens to pay into dfferent schemes for over a few years, such as a long term payment scheme that would get you a car and stuff.

Shortly before all these schemes were set to end and the citizens would recieve what they've saved up for, the second world war started.

Most of the answers are quite correct, However, no one likes to talk about the other side of the truth. American companies based in germany paid ALOT of money to keep the companies going, and American troops were ordered not to harm any companies, warehouses, etc that had american interests . Great World huh ?

Bank borrowing [Switzerland and the us plus a certain amount from industrialists like krupps ig farben etc who had kept their cash abroad to avoid the hyper inflation of the weimar republic ,after 1933 he simply stole the assets of all non nazis.
