during BCT at Ft sill we ran three laps around a building which equaled 2 miles. once assigned to my duty station we ran on a track. |

Just like everyone is saying it is both. We just had ours done today and it was on the road. Last month it was done on a track. Just depends on what day it is and who is coordinating the run. |

Usually on a track if one is available, if not then anywhere they can find 2 miles of fairly unobstructed terrain where it is halfway safe to run. I've done both many times. Good luck to you. |
