I wold like to go somewhere with beach ,nice weather but not Hawaii
We are currently at Fort boring riley.

So would every other guy in the army and they all can't go there. Since you are already in the army, you should know by now that the army sends you where they want or need you. They don't much care where you want to go. Sorry about that, but that's the way its always been.
There are a few places in Iraq where the weather is beautiful. Pray that you don't get shipped there. |

Anywhere on Hawaii is great. But Fort Drussey and Fort Shafter are great. Schofield Barracks is nice, but the duty is not sham. |

There are some nice beaches on the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers that you might enjoy. Ask to be transferred there. Happy hour starts at 4 |

My husband and I are stationed at Ft. Bragg, NC. It is not the most beautiful place on earth but the beach is only about 2 1/2 hours away. It is easy to spend a weekend at the beach! If you are airborne it would be easy to get stationed there. A majority of the people stationed there are airborne. Good luck! |

I was posted to Canadian Forces Station Masset, on the Queen Charlotte Islands (BC), which had the most amazing beaches. Sandy, going for miles, and always empty.
Of course, the water was too cold to swim in (Alaska was just across the strait), but the beaches were great! It hardly every snowed there, and never got hot either.
It is isolated, which many did not like. Great hunting and fishing - which, considering the price of food there turned out to be a good thing!
The station only had about 200 people when I was there, but it is now very small, I think about 60. I did like it though. |

My daughter is an E-4 in El Paso TX. She hates it there at "Ft. Blister" (Bliss). She really liked "Relaxin' Jackson" (Ft. Jackson, SC) and Ft. Lee in Virginia. I'm pretty sure both of those bases are close to some kind of beach. |

Why not Hawaii? It's great, the best beaches ever! I loved living on Schofield Barracks
