Where to live off post @ Fort Campbell, KY?

My family and I are PCSing to Fort Campbell, KY this year and would like to know if anyone has a good idea of where to live off of base??
Additional Details
Anyone know of any good apartments to rent from for a little while, before moving into a house?

As stated earlier, Sango is a nice area of town. It comes with higher cost of course. Not sure what price range you are looking into but the areas off Exit 8 and Exit 11 of Interstate 24 are both good. Clarksville High School and Rossview School systems are the better public schools in the county. Clarksville Academy is a fine K-12 private school, actually run by a military spouse.
The eastern half of Tiny Town Road (closer to Exit 1) is fine. Plantation Estates is where I lived when we were stationed there. The new movie theater is there along with some new shops including a Cold Stone Creamery.
You definitely want to avoid Oak Grove, any neighborhood near Highway 41A, Northwest High School, and Riverside Drive. I hated just driving down 41A to work. It seems like every 19-year old E-2 thinks they are in Fast & Furious. Avoid this highway, especially at night if possible.
Downtown Clarksville (Franklin Street) is actually really nice. Blackhorse is the best restaurant in town. But go 4 blocks to the south of Franklin Street and it is pretty ghetto. |

I agree , Sango is the best area, it is also furtherest from the post though.
Stay away from downtown, Riverside drive, Lafayette road, ringgold road, lancaster road
And my personal opinion, stay away from TinyTown road.
Thoese are all high crime areas, with lots of gangbangers.
Do a web search for " Byers & Harvey clarksville "
And go to the Byers & Harvey webpage, they have a rental listing. |

The Sango area is pretty nice. You want to stay away from downtown and riverside. There are lots of apartments on Tiny Town Rd or you can probably rent a house for a reasonable price.
