I would suggest Cuba because it seems to be safer. Iraq and Afghanistan have too many soldier casualties. Good luck and Godspeed on his safe return!

Gitmo Cuba is the safest place. There is no war at Gitmo. It's just a base with a prison.

Cuba would be the safest, but I have heard from fellow Navy personnel who have gone there that the treatment you get from the prisoners is pretty horrible. (Verbal abuse, spitting at you, etc.) I hope your husband would be prepared for that.

Gitmo is safer, but boring. Aphganistan is more soldier work, and Iraq is more poilce work. I would rank them in that order.

My sisters husband has been to all three, and I would say Cuba. He didn't just stay in Cuba while stationed there though. He had to go to Haiti, Honduras and Columbia. I guess it all depends what your husbands job in the military is.

Cuba safest and closest though he should reconsider and as far as i know they could send him anywhere. He is already vetern and could use that exp to get good job in law enforcement home again reconsider

Cuba would be the safest, though since I think Gitmo is utter ****, I'd pick Afgahnistan.

He will go to Iraq more then likely. We've since turned the powers over to the UN and NATO in Afghanistan, and with Britain pulling out of Iraq, they'll need troops to fill in.

I understand your unhappiness, and I do hope that he takes your worry into consideration.

God I'm sorry. Well of the 3 I'd say Cuba. I had a friend there for a few years. He was an Arabic translator for the army. He's American but that's what the army turned him into. He said Gitmo wasn't so bad...except for lack of women (but a good thing in your case). Cuba def the safer of the 3 Again, I'm sorry you have to go through this. God Bless.

The Are all pretty dangerous, if you could try to talk him out of it, that would be the best because then you have him here. But Cuba would be the best choice!

Well of course Cuba is the best of those choices. If he has to be deployed, though, why not somewhere in the U.S.? I feel for your unhappiness, but I guess if that is his career choice, you have to put up with it if you want to stay with him.
