Iran has the world's biggest army.

Revolutionary Guards . . . 545,000.
Reserve Force . . . 350,000.
Paramilitary . . . 90,000.
Which makes approximately 985,000 trained personnel, with a further 11 million who could be deployed, which makes Iran the world's biggest military force by far, in terms of troop mobilisation.
It produces its own fighter planes, guided missiles, submarines, tanks, armoured personnel carriers, unmanned arial craft etc.

Pakistan which has nukes, a reasonably modern airforce, and has battle experience and a high state of readyness.

Saudi has very modern equipment but little political appetite for a fight.

Iran has a big standing military, a reasonably modern airforce including all the Iraqi Migs which ran away there in GW1 but still suffering from the Iran Iraq war.

If you mean 'Islamic States' then Iran (Pakistan and Indonesia have larger Armed Forces (Pakistan with Nucs - but both countries are democratic states - multi party states with free elections) - After Iran then Saudi Arabia (top line equipment (Eurofighter, A1 Abrhams Tanks for example)

Well people keep saying Iran, you would have to take in account a few things. Pakistan has nuclear missiles, Iran does not, however Iran does have the capability to destroy economies through oil supply.

I would say Iran, the Iraq invasion has significantly shifted the balance of power in the region and compared to its near by neighbors Iran has the strongest military.

Pakistan is the strongest and with out a doubt the most dangerous Islamic power in the world at the moment. i have a feeling that! is where the inevitable world war three will open out. if the west had half a brain they would take it out now!

what's been said before Saudi Arabia/ Iran. I think Iran should get nuclear weapons it would stop Isreal form attacking its neighbours and restore some stability in the middle east. Pakistan is the most unstable Islamic country and something to be worried about civil war will happen sometime in the near future me thinks.
