If beseiging a castle, which animal if fired from a cannon would be most useful. I'm thinking tortoises, armadillos or maybe guinea pigs with explosive crash helmets on?

Your going to need a large cannon but a Blue Whale has got to do some damage if you can get it moving at speed. Alternatively, I would go to the other end of the scale and fire large numbers of fleas, biting ants and other irritating creatures over the walls. When the besieged exit the castle, then you can loose the whale. |

I would fire bats with tiny timed incendiary devices. If it's daylight, they'll find a nice dark place like a rafter, grain storage, or window sill to hide and then POOF, complete carnage as fire engulfs the entire fort from within.

Although they may not be very robust missles, I think the sight of their broken and bloodied little corpses splattering the battlements would prove distracting to the enemy and enable you a launch a suprise offensive whilst they blubbed over the furry carnage at their feet ! |
