Which country would u consider powerful in terms of military power?

After the USA, there is nobody.

The USA outspends the rest of the planet combined on military spending - including all their allies. It's like they expect the entire planet to attack them all at once. Not that they've given the rest of the planet good reason to (sarcasm).

My guess is they're compensating for something. Whatever it is must be tremendously undersized and inadequate.

Russia by far is the closest. Though the gap between the USA and Russia is huge. Both have enought atomic weapons and rockets to destroy the world. But putting nukes aside, the USA has the most powerful land army. In numbers Russia may have more tanks and cannons, but they are so inferior to American weapons that they are easily taken out. Our edge is mostly that we can see the enemy much quicker and farther than they can see us. And in war it is always better to be the one to shoot first. While it would be a major undertaking, the USA would win an old fashioned land war. After all, we spend more on our military than the rest of the entire world!

After the US? China and Russia as they are the only other superpowers. I'd keep an eye on India though. They aren't militarily strong yet, but they're really building an industry there, and its really only a matter of time.

China for the worlds largest Army, Airforce, and Navy.
Great Britain, for the Navy and the Technology.
Israel for the most highly trained special forces in the world- the Mossad.

Any of the Nuclear countries- US, Russia, France, GB, China, Israel, Pakistan, India, and perhaps Iran and N. Korea.
