Which is the best? Army, Navy, Airforce, Marines, or Coast Guard?

All military branches have their own missions to perform, so it is not a matter of which is the better. Each branch has a different mission assigned to it.

None is better than the other, they all have good features that are attractive to some and not attractive to others.

The Air Force is assigned all combat air missions in support of
its assignment or to back up ground or naval forces.

The Navy is assigned all missions involving naval operations in support of it's assigned mission or to back up ground and air forces.

The Army's mission is normally to take and hold any and all ground that is taken as well as take any ground it is assigned to take and hold in support of the other services.

The Marine Corp is assigned mission of taking ground and normally moving on. Sometimes it is required to hold the ground it takes in support of the other services.

The Coast Guard is assigned the mission of protecting the United States shore line. In war time it can be called to protect and back up the navy and other naval operations.

i would say the marines are cool...But i wnana join the air force... but eye sight has to be like 20/20. =(

All branches are paid the same. The Air Force does get treated alot better. But like it was stated before, all branches have a specific mission. Not one branch can do it alone. Just depends on what you are wanting to do.

Navy - you work on the ship and never see combat, unless your vessel is attacked.
Airforce - you drop bombs on targets that have no means of defending itself
Coast Guard - you save people rather than killing them. You also stop drug smugglers from pushing their product into the country.

I WAS IN THE NAVY BACK IN 1957 IT'S DIFFERENT TODAY BUT I HERE THE AIRFORCE IS LIKE A 8 HOUR DAY JOB.

i would say the coast guard. they are based in the u.s. they also don't have to go out when there is a war. they mainly secure the homeland. the pay is just as good as any of the other also.
