My personal opinion is that none of them is "best." They all do their jobs without anybody even knowing about it.
And I'd rather have any one of them standing next to me in a fight than across from me. |

The original leaders and pioneers in this area of work are still the best.
SAS all the way. |

I would always say SAS not just due to recent events but they are proven to be the best of the best. There are so many things that they are involved in that the public will never hear about and they do not go public with much which is why they are so renowned. |

The first ones that any of our allies ask for and the last ones any of our enemies want to come up against, who dares wins dude, it's got to be the S.A.S. |

Once again S.A.S. |

- British SAS (the originals, Delta Force was based on this unit)
- United States Delta Force (in my opinion the best Special Operations unit in the world)
- United States DEVGRU (originally SEAL Team Six; the very best operators from the Navy SEALs)
- FBI Hostage Rescue Team (basically a Delta Force clone but for homeland security)
The Navy SEALs aren't even comparable to these units. Wikipedia them to find out more info. Hope this helps. |

In my opinion any British Forces unit is the best, if only because each and every one of them are volunteers. Please remember each and every one of them tomorrow on "Remembrance Day" that never came home, also their families that are left behind.
Here's to every one of them. |

um never heard this question before YAWN

but there are units that are better trained in a specific jobs, |

The SBS are better than the SAS
The SBS have all the skills of the SAS plus they also specialises in special operations at sea, along coastlines and on river networks. |

Samurai! Because they have to get in close enough to kill by sword without being detected. And then, get away without being noticed. How hard would that be. |

I wouldn't want them to ever have to contest this. So your SAS and our SF will just have to stay even up. |
